A state of panic gripped the residents of Murshidabad district when a bag containing nine bombs was discovered near a toilet at the Kuli Chowrasta turn of Kanthi-Scientia State Highway under the jurisdiction of the Burwan police station.
The alarming discovery was made by a toilet worker on Monday morning, who immediately reported it to the civic volunteers on duty. Subsequently, Burwan police cordoned off the area to prevent any potential risks, and the bomb disposal squad was summoned to handle the situation. The incident unfolded in a populated area frequented by residents from 20 to 25 villages for business activities, heightening concerns about the potential impact had the bombs detonated.
